I just don't get it.

Do you like math?

To me it just feels like god's wrath.

some find it easy,

some do a problem and go all wheezy

Its so tiring, it demands my mind power consumption,

it does not feel real, everything is an assumption.

every time I try it, it leaves me in a state of perplex,

How can I sleep peacefully when I do not know the value of 'x'!

when it comes to silly mistakes, there is a profusion,

Its not multiple choices, its multiple confusion!

When I try to find volumes and areas, it casts a spell,

Pythagoras? Geometry? It does not ring a bell!

What do I submit, my notebook is empty,

Drawings and doodles? Oh there's plenty!

First it was numbers and it was all easy,

then came letters and my brain got busy,

now there's symbols and my head is all squeezy

So many calculations, my head is spinning,

If the first prize was last, I am definitely winning!

In the math class, I just look at trees and feel all the breezes,

The class starts and the clock just freezes!

Why should I use a chalk and slate,

Everything is easy now, their are machines to calculate!

Trigonometry finds the height and subtraction the difference,

Its not that I hate math, I just have a different preference.

There is a lot of numbers and sometime there's a letter,

I study and study but it never gets better.

Look, math is not bad and its not impossible, I bet it,

The problem is...…

I just don't get it!

We all have something that is not our cup of tea, but everyone has a different talent. Some are good at math, some are not. Don't let your marks discourage you, everyone has a hidden gem within. I have tried to put a smile on your face through this poem in these difficult times. I am not saying that math is not a good subject, I have written my own experience with the subject, please do not feel offended if you are someone who loves mathematics. :)
