What do you use technology for? Probably work, studies, etc. do you have fun when you are doing an assignment on your computer? I would go for the second one, of course it would be more fun to try out new and cool features on your computer! In this blog post, I will give you cool tech suggestions. As you would have seen in my previous tech posts, most of my Tech recommendations are based on features of the browser. I feel that we spend a lot of my time on our browser and we can also do fun stuff with it! So, let's get started!
Is your desktop wallpaper blurry or does it not fit? Do this!!
I was recently browsing on Pinterest looking for some cool and HD desktop wallpapers. All the wallpaper I downloaded either seemed to be blurry or did not fit in my screen. I tried out some keywords which I saw in the predictive text/search recommendations and the wallpapers I downloaded were not blurry anymore and fitted in the screen just fine too. Unfortunately, these keywords do not work if you are trying to get wallpapers directly from google search. Note- you need to use these keywords only if you are looking for HD wallpapers for a desktop on Pinterest, if you are just looking for images or a phone wallpaper, they are not required as the images will naturally be high-resolution.
What are the keywords you could use?
‘HD 1080p’
‘HD 4k 1080p’
‘HD 1920 x 1080’
‘HD 4k 1920 x 1080’
‘1920 x 1080 HD 1080p’
If you feel too lazy to type such keywords, Do this!
Is there any place on the internet where I can get HD quality wallpapers without remembering all these keywords? Yes! Go to your google search bar and type- ‘Unsplash’. Unsplash is a safe and legal website where you can get high resolution images for wallpapers and much more! There is one minus point to Unsplash- sometimes, you do not get a lot of results to choose from when looking for images. But there are a lot of good ones out there. Try searching for ‘Desktop wallpapers stars’.
Anything new on Google?
What is new on google? Google recently added a new ‘Google doodle’ on its homepage. What is a ‘Google doodle’ A Google Doodle is a special, temporary alteration of the logo on Google's homepages intended to commemorate holidays, events, achievements, and notable historical figures of particular countries. Does ‘temporary’ mean it will not be available after sometime? No! Temporary means that it will stay on the homepage for only a short while, after that, you can always search it up. This google doodle is called ‘Doodle champion Island games begin!’
What is ‘Doodle island champion games’?
It is a game where you [ Lucky the cat, the main character of the game ] have to move around the island to find the seven sacred scrolls, in order to win the scrolls, you need to win seven sports, one sport for each scroll.
The sports are-
Skateboarding
Table Tennis
Climbing
Rugby
Marathon
Archery
Artistic Swimming
Complete extra hidden challenges and quests on the island in the process of winning the sports!
How to play
Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to navigate on the island
If you wish t do a forward roll, press an arrow key and the space bar simultaneously and you can roll in that direction.
In order to read what a sign says, or see what a person is saying, approach it and click the spacebar.
Look at the instructions given in each sport to see how to play them.
If you want to enter a room, approach a door and if an opening door sign appears, press the spacebar to enter.
You can play this game on your phone too, you will have to navigate using the finger and the roles played by the spacebar can be carried out simply by clicking on the screen.

Nowadays, we listen to all of our music through apps like Spotify. Is it just me, or the fun in listening to songs is more in your radio. How about I tell you that you can listen to the radio from any corner of the world by just sitting in front of your laptop, Yes! It is true! ‘Radio Garden’ is a free, legal and safe website where you can listen to the radios from every corner of the world [ those which are registered with radio garden ]. All you need to do is click on the green dots shown on the globe. You can move the globe by dragging your mouse and choose the place and radio you want to listen to. You can download it as an app too!

Working on your browser and annoyed by the address bar on top? Press the F11 Key. This will help you enter to full screen everywhere!
Are you worried that someone will misuse your laptop when you go somewhere and leave it open for a while? Press Windows + L to lock your PC
Want to save a web page you are reading/viewing? Press Ctrl + D to save it as your bookmark!
Want to find a word in a document, E Mail or a webpage but don’t want to waste time? Press Ctrl + F. This will open the ‘Find’ search box and you can type in the word you are looking for which will be highlighted. You can use this almost everywhere!
Move to the end of a page- Ctrl + End.
Move to the top of a page- Ctrl + Home.
Want to print a document but tired of dragging your mouse around? Just press Ctrl + P and it will bring up your printing options.
