The sword can slash and the sword can thrash
The sword comes handy in a tight clash.
The sword unused gets rusted,
You don't prepare, in the test you'll be busted.
We all have a sword, the bone and the muscle,
Nothing comes easy, one has to tussle.
The mind sharper than the body, punches less than wits,
Don't just learn to defend, learn to take the hits.
The bruises your trophy and the sweat your treat,
Don't sleep and dream, wake up and work to achieve that feat.
The body grows when you move, the mind when you are still,
Luxuries are not free, your health is the bill.
Step out of the sunshine and step in the rain,
Stop chasing comfort, that's the way to train.
Don't run behind money, run behind the passion,
Run behind the earned black belt, not the leather fashion.
Don't seek the easier road, change that nature,
The will can climb the mountain, no matter the stature.
Don't expect peace, you will be punched down,
There was never a smooth road to reach the crown.
With the right skill of the warrior, the sword will never break,
The worrier will give up but the warrior will never shake.
Get up and work for it, don't rely on fate,
start young or start old, its never too late.
Be strict with yourself or find someone who can,
Learn to hunt alone, don't rely on the clan.
The sword is strong only when its used,
Light can't be given by a bulb which is fused.

Whatever skills we have, whether physical or mental, grow and strengthen only if you use them, practice them. Its not a certificate that defines you, its the skill, the dedication. Stopping when you achieve something is meaningless. I can run a 10km marathon but if I sit around and look at the finishing medal on the wall, I limit myself. Be happy, but never satisfied. The numbers don't end. Why stop at 10? Why not keep pushing. The sword kept in its case for years rusts, becomes useless. Take out that sword, practice, push your limits, never stop. There is no end. There is always a bigger mountain to conquer. Have passion, have a goal, chase it like a lion chases the deer, be hungry like the lion.
